Favourite book? The Bible! Everything in it is applicable to life today. There isn’t anything happening today that isn’t already recorded and tested.
Favourite quote? “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail!” So much of life is what you make it, and it’s up to each one of us to make it the best it can be, not only for ourselves, but for those we touch, everyday.
Given the chance, what would you love to do that you haven’t yet? I’m currently in the early stages of this dream – launching my HR practice – the opportunity to partner with and create people practices for purposeful organizations!
What inspires you? I have always been and continue to be inspired by the unyielding strength, drive and passion of the women in my family. They often and selflessly give of themselves to their immediate, extended and community families. For me, they have been a source of encouragement to strive for and to settle for nothing less than excellence.
Why do you do what you do? As a human resources professional, I’ve had the privilege of touching a diverse spectrum of lives – sharing my expertise to enhance the lives of others, both personally and professionally. There’s a saying: “People may not remember what you said, but they’ll remember how you made them feel.” At the end of the day, this is what it’s all about – this is what really matters.”
