Award-winning Alberta born singer, songwriter, composer, and pianist, Gina Williams has performed extensively to thousands of people throughout Canada, the U.S., and overseas. She is currently anticipating performances in Seoul, Korea, Washington, D.C., and Moscow, Russia.

Gina has had numerous TV appearances and extensive radio and print coverage. These include CBC TV (6:00pm News Story), CBC Radio, Polskie Radio II (Poland) and Radio I (Japan). Gina produced the concerts From Gounod to Gospel and In Spite of the Storm, featuring guest artists and herself. Both concerts brought audiences to their feet. TV appearances include film roles as an actor in the feature films The Jack Bull (John Cusack/John Goodman) and Whitecoats (Dave Thomas). She has also had principal roles in both English and French. Her song “You Are Not Alone” is the theme song for the Russian film, Love is the Best Medicine in which she sings appears an an actor in the film.

After winning numerous awards as a concert pianist, the former child prodigy now has a Master’s in Music from the University of Alberta. Known also as a composer, Georgina (Gina) Williams wrote the anthem “Glory” for Grenada’s 25th Anniversary of Independence. She has also written orchestral music, a string quintet, and works for solo piano.

Honours: Including, International Who’s Who of Professional Business Women (2000); inclusion in Who’s Who in Black Canada (1st edition, 2002).

Who inspires you? God.

Why do you do what you do? It’s my passion. Music is something that chooses you. Doing anything else is merely a job. I also love helping others accomplish their dreams.
