A pioneer in the early dotcom days in NYC, former clients included Spike Lee and Sean “P. Diddy” Combs before McLean joined HBO as Vice President of Content (Volume.com). As a TV executive producer, he developed the Emmy-nomimated groundbreaking CBC series, ZeD, a series that pioneered the merger of user-generated content and television.
Presently, McLean serves as Vice-President of Interactive Content at ZoomerMedia where he reports to another TV visionary/kindred spirit, Moses Znaimer.
Favourite book? The Anthology of Isaac Bashevis Singer. I very much enjoy the sagacious side of Jewish literature.

Given the chance, what would you love to do that you haven’t done yet? Record/produce a multimedia music project the combines elements of urban music and indie rock with a healthy dose of existential despair.
Who inspires you? Steve Jobs, Peter Gabriel, Radiohead, single mothers, Bob Marley, Pad Thai, Jean Michel Basquiat and cycling in Amsterdam.
Why do you do what you do? I do what I do because I don’t like “work” so instead my hobbies are my work.
