Alan Talbot is the president and owner of Meineke in Newmarket. His company services 130 vehicles per week and has sales approaching $1.2 million annually. Previously, he had a lengthy career in the manufacturing industry.
Background: Alan worked with Steelcase Canada (1979-2002), a Fortune 500 company and the largest office furniture design and manufacturing company in the world; filled a number of positions from Materials Analyst, Senior Expediter, Employee Relations Manager, Operations Manager in the seating division, and finally Operations Manager of the Core Services Group. He was the first Black person to move into management at Steelcase Canada. From 2003-04, he was Vice-President of Operations at Ascent Ltd., one of Ontario’s largest PET blow molder (plastic bottles) companies servicing the beverage industry.
